Pastors and Christian leaders around Horry County, South Carolina saw the unique opportunity and need to work together to make a positive impact in our community.

The 2016 election exposed deep divisions and raised concerns among many in our community about race and political persuasion. These leaders were burdened to bring together the body of Christ.

They determined Martin Luther King, Jr. Day 2017 would be a special opportunity to accomplish this.

The effort begins the Saturday before the holiday with a prayer and worship event followed by a week of prayer and events over the holiday weekend commemorating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
